Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
June 1971
What is your primary product or service?
We are a service based company, servicing power tools of all brands and varieties. We are factory authorized service for most brands of power tools. We also service "Power Wheels" ride on toys for kids and Major and small appliances of all kinds. We have a retail showroom where we sell parts and supplies for all we service. We also sell a large selection of kitchen items including pressure cookers and canners as well as a complete selection of home canning equipment.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We started this business in 1971 so we would have income while going to school and it soon became our vocation.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We offer a broader range of services than other repair companies. Many do only major appliances or vacuums or power tool but we do all of those. There are many products of our business that we are the only outlet in the area for such as service of electric shavers or getting repairs or testing done on pressure canners or ride-on toys for your kids. Many people prefer to just buy new when appliances fail but there is a substantial saving to be had when something is repaired.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have only this one shop and have no plans in the near future to expand.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are on State St, 4.5 blocks south of University Mall.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks and credit cards of all types.
Which areas do you service?
